THE GAP

It’s a common problem.

A student leaves first grade as an emerging reader. She’s mastered simple word patterns,  can blend her “f-” with her “-ish” and is good friends with Jack, Jane and Jill.

A year (and a few inches) later, she arrives in third grade.
By now, she’s expected to read:

f
ish
fish

How does a child bridge this gap?

“Nan ran in a pan”
“Eddie loves to solve mysteries in his clubhouse?”

Creation
Intersect

THE SOLUTION

A program that recognizes the needs
of second and third graders in their
unique developmental stages.

Witnessing this gap in elementary school classrooms, Mrs. Pearly Berger developed the Whiz Words program as a direct response to this need. With her experience in both mainstream and resource classrooms, the program is based on evidence-based reading methods, extensive in-class testing, and teacher feedback.

Whiz Words works for them all.
